Before travelling to L'Escala
L'Escala is 50 minutes from Girona airport, between the Montgri massif and the Empuries ruins, the only site in Catalonia with a Greek and a Roman city at once. The village is walked from the port to Riells; for Empuries and the northern coves a car, bike or transfer helps. In November the anchovy fair draws the whole comarca.
