The right airport can save you more than an hour of travel.

The Costa Brava gateway

Girona Airport (GRO)

40-60 min to Lloret, Tossa, Platja d'Aro and Sant Feliu. Ryanair and low cost from all Europe.

More flights, more times

Barcelona Airport (BCN)

75-100 min to the central coast and the gate for Sitges, Tarragona and Andorra.

The southern entrance

Reus Airport (REU)

Ideal for the Costa Dorada (Salou, Cambrils) and combining with Roman Tarragona.

Step 2: transfer, train or bus?

Transfer: door to door, fixed price, no luggage limits. Best for families, groups and late arrivals.
Train: only to Blanes, Llanca and Figueres on the coast — then bus or taxi to your village.
Bus: cheap and seasonal frequencies; fine if you travel light.
Rental car: total freedom for hidden coves; parking in summer is the catch.

Is there a train to the Costa Brava?

Only to Blanes, Llanca and Figueres-Vilafant. Tossa, Lloret, Platja d'Aro and the coves have no station: the transfer covers the last mile.
