Calella de Palafrugell is pedestrian on the seafront and very photographed: arriving by transfer to the hotel and moving on foot along the coastal path to Llafranc (20 minutes by the coast) is the best plan. Girona airport is about 50 minutes away. In July and August apartments book out far in advance.
