Bus, train or transfer from Girona Airport: what works best
The honest comparison by traveller type: real prices, door-to-door times and when each option wins.

The bus: cheap with conditions
The direct bus connects GRO with Lloret (from about 15-18 EUR) and Girona centre, but frequencies depend on season and flights: in winter there are gaps of hours. Perfect for solo travellers with a backpack; hellish with two cases and kids after a delay.
The train: does not even exist from the terminal
Girona airport has no station: to catch a train you first need to reach Girona or Figueres by bus or taxi and then connect. It only pays off if your destination is on the Blanes coast line or the border (Llanca, Portbou).
The transfer: fixed price, door to door
From 45-65 EUR to Lloret or 55-80 EUR to Blanes for the whole vehicle: for two people the gap with the bus is about 15 EUR per head in exchange for leaving without waits, with flight tracking and to your hotel door. In groups of 3 or more, the transfer wins outright.
The verdict by traveller type
Solo and light in season: bus. Destination on the train line: bus + train. Families, groups, late arrivals or heavy luggage: pre-booked transfer. And the golden rule: in July and August, anything not booked 48 hours ahead pays rank-taxi prices.
